Sony has introduced a new tool on its PS5 with which they hope to be able to combat toxic users that populate the online world. A necessary measure if they want new players to be encouraged to play online and enjoy doing so. So, now it is Amazon that is also working to a similar extent, although just as interesting as banning users.
Amazon and its fight against toxic players

When you go to play online and you find players who do not stop insulting, bothering and even threatening others or yourself, the game is not enjoyed in the same way. What's more, it can usually lead to really annoying situations. So much so that many decide to abandon that day's game and even the game if it is something that is repeated frequently.
For this reason, many companies in the video game sector are looking for the way to combat these negative behaviors. We recently learned how Sony will do it. Through an audio recording tool, the PS5 would be able to capture voice chats in order to denounce disrespectful and inappropriate attitudes.
These complaints will reach a team made up of Sony personnel, who will evaluate what happened and take the appropriate measures. This means that if they feel that the attitude was inappropriate, you could ban them from the game.
However, Amazon seems to have decided to opt for a solution that will not consist in denying access but rather in isolating them. If you have seen the Mythic Quest series, you may remember that chapter where a group of users with Nazi ideology began to annoy the game experience for other players. The solution was to create a server and isolate them from the rest without them even realizing it.
Well, that is partly what Amazon has in mind and what is described in a patent issued to the company a few years ago. When the system detects that there is a toxic player, he will automatically be marked and from then on he will only be matched with other players who are also considered toxic.
Thus, they will avoid complaints because they would not really know a priori that they have been classified as toxic players and if they want to continue with the same attitude they will find their equals. Which you could say they will take their own medicine.
What is inappropriate behavior in online gaming

Amazon's solution is interesting, but it has a problem: what is considered a toxic player? That will be the great challenge for Amazon and its system. For some, a player with negative behavior is one who insults and even threatens others. However, there are those who consider toxic simply those players who abandon games in the middle or simply say curses even if they are to vent for having failed.
Setting limits can be very difficult and there could be players who for specific reasons would fall into said pairings. And even the situation of a player who changes his behavior after realizing his attitude could also occur, how would he return to the servers, well?
It will be necessary to see if they manage to integrate it and how, in which games or platforms (perhaps in Luna) as well as the criteria. For now we are left with the intention and that it is a logical idea. Anyone who wants to play like a kaffir should do so while the rest enjoy a good vibes online.
