Anbernicus has finally unveiled its next portable console. Is called RG Cube, and as the leaks had anticipated, we are looking at a small model that is characterized by including a 1:1 format screen. But what exactly is this type of screen for? Is it comfortable to play? Well, everything will depend on the platforms you emulate, of course.
New Anbernic RG Cube
With a size of 3,95 inch (720 x 720 pixels), the format of this console is quite out of the standard. Its intention is none other than to offer a format specially designed to enjoy platforms such as Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, PlayStation and Dreamcast, among others, and its aspect ratio will fill practically the entire surface of this square screen.
This results in a much more comfortable and attractive gaming experience, being able to enjoy the entire panel, and avoiding two black side bars like those that appear on widescreen screens. And if you are only going to play platforms with an 8:7 or 4:3 aspect ratio, why do you want a widescreen?
All features revealed
The brand, although it has not completely presented the console officially, has left a teaser quite full of details, since it has even revealed the specifications table. The main quality is that the console works under the Android 13 operating system, so the possibilities are quite extensive.
On the other hand, the processor is a Unison T820 and Mali-G57 GPU and 8 GB of RAM, including 128 GB of internal storage space. WiFi, Bleutooth 5.0, 5.200 mAh battery and a USB-C port with the possibility of extracting 1080p video to an external screen are included. The complete list of specifications is as follows:

At the moment the brand has not expressed itself on the matter, since at the moment what was published is nothing more than a teaser (despite showing it practically in its entirety). It will arrive in three different colors and it is very likely that we will still have to wait more than a month to find out its launch price.
