Commandos demo

The mythical Commandos is back. One of the most original real-time strategy simulators of the 2000s is back with an updated version for the times, with new graphics and effects but with the same gameplay as always. And the good news is that, although we still have to wait a little longer for its release, we can now download a demo to start playing it.

Commando Origins

La demo of Commandos: Origins is available on both PC and Xbox. To download it on PC, all you have to do is go to the Steam store or the Microsoft Store, while on Xbox you just have to search for it in the Store to start installing it. This demo offers the opportunity to play “Operation Prelude”, a level specially created to experiment with the gameplay of Commandos and in which you can learn about the abilities of the squad.

This time we will control two of the members, the unmistakable Green Beret and the Marine, who will have to sneak into a military installation and sabotage the German radar operating within. These are the links to download the demo:

When will Commandos: Origins be available for purchase?

The full game is expected to hit stores sometime in 2024, and given the time frame we're currently in, we probably won't have to wait much longer for the official announcement. The game will bring us a total of 14 missions in which you can control the entire squad of 6 unmistakable members such as the Green Beret, the Marine, the Sapper, the Sniper, the Spy and the Driver.

By combining the skills of each one, we will have to avoid the enemy's alerts and reach the objectives of each of the missions, which will also have secondary objectives with which to complete the challenges. With increasingly complicated missions, the challenges will increase so that you will have to rack your brain to obtain the best combination of possible movements and that they are perfectly synchronized.

The most fun thing about Commandos is that there is no single solution, as you can define the action route in many different ways, sometimes even using a single character if you are skilled enough. The possibilities are multiplied quite a bit, and the setting in World War II is great. This time, the scenarios will recreate landscapes of the Arctic and even the African desert, with tactical puzzles that will challenge our imagination.
