Cristiano Ronaldo's retirement from the pitch is still far on the horizon, however, it seems that the Juventus star has taken a first blow after seeing how he lost his role in the game of football par excellence. It is a measure that he already suffered in his own flesh when he was accused of alleged violation, since EA decided to remove his image from the official website in October. Days later, the company changed its mind, and Cristiano returned to the screens.
But this time the situation is different. The game has recently released an update with which to include new settings in its mode Ultimate Team, with adjustments to certain Premier League players and other additions, and among the novelties, a series of aesthetic changes have also been included in the game interface, and that is where CR7 comes into play.
Cristiano Ronaldo has disappeared from both the game icon, the loading screens and the different interface menus, giving way to a trio made up of Kevin de Bruyne, Neymar and Paulo Dybala. According to EA statements made to Eurogamer, these changes are due to the return of the Champions League, since with the return of the competition the brand has decided to show other stars to cover more teams and variety.

That is the official statement offered by EA, something that, although consistent with the events, sounds more like an excuse with which to silently remove the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo on the screens of his game. And it is that as you can see in the screenshots, in addition to disappearing from the cover and the loading screens, the Juventus striker has stopped appearing in all kinds of menus, disappearing completely.
