Being able to play Cuphead on PlayStation 4 is one of the best pieces of news any video game fan could receive, even though it's three years late compared to its original release on Xbox and Windows PC. Because the title developed by Studio MDHR still feels just as fresh and has plenty more to offer. It's no wonder they're working on a DLC.
Cuphead, you have to play it
On September 29, 2017, Cuphead, a video game for Xbox and PC with an aesthetic inspired by 30s cartoons, was released , surprising everyone. Although after that initial graphical impact, what truly captivated many players and made them fall in love with it was its gameplay.
Cuphead is a video game where you basically run and shoot to reach the end of the level and face a final boss. It's a game inspired by classic 80s and 90s beat 'em ups and shoot 'em ups, where action is mixed with two-dimensional side-scrolling platforming.
The game may seem simple at first, but it's not. While the core mechanics remain the same, including the ability to bounce off enemies, each boss will present a unique challenge , requiring you to adapt to achieve your ultimate goal: victory. This victory allows you to progress and reach the final challenge against the Devil.
To make it even more fun, Studio MDHR's game can be played solo or cooperatively. This second option is for many more fun if possible. In one way or another, in both they have to embody one of the two brothers, Cuphead or Mugman in order to defeat King Dice and recover the contracts that gave him the right to the souls of the inhabitants of Inkwell Isle.
Cuphead on Playstation 4
The announcement of Cuphead's arrival on PS4 came as a bit of a surprise, but that's not really important. The important thing is that the game is now available on the PS Store and can be purchased for €19,99 . So just head to the store or click on this link to buy it.
For now, only the original game is available. The DLC, which has been mentioned on more than one occasion, is not yet available for any platform. The Delicious Last Course , as it will be called, is not ready. As the developers have stated, its development is taking longer than expected, and we'll have to be patient until it's finally available for download.
However, they hope to be able to give more information and in a more concrete way in the coming months. Something that many await as impatiently as the series that Netflix announced not long ago that it was also creating based on the same game.

For now, what you should keep in mind is that this is a game well worth playing if you haven't already. It's fun, its graphics break with the usual aesthetics and, in general, it is one of the titles that is enjoyed from start to finish. The only thing you will have to have is patience, because some levels are going to be difficult for you to overcome. And yes, playing it in operational mode is possibly more enjoyable.
If, by some chance—which would surprise us greatly—you're discovering Cuphead right now, the game is also available for PC and Xbox, as we mentioned at the beginning. So, it's always a good time to download Cuphead from the respective Microsoft stores or via Steam.
