There is a little less than two months left until EA Sports FC 25 hits stores and, as always, the game will include new features to make the quintessential soccer simulator even more fun. This year's proposal is called Rush, and it is about a 5 against 5 mode which, as we will see below, is very reminiscent of the famous Kings League.
FC 25 Rush Mode
Although the Kings League was clearly inspired by the football model with handicap cards that we saw in previous versions of FIFA, the truth is that the virtual league of streamers has had a deep impact among the youngest. That may be why EA has included the so-called rush mode, a type of game Vs. 5 5 where players will face each other in faster, more dynamic matches with new rules to make everything more frenetic.
To begin with, the kick-off is taken in a race. The players will have to run for the ball when the initial whistle sounds, which will cause a completely unpredictable start and quite a surprise. The penalties will be in the race with 10 seconds of possession, something that also resembles the Kings League, and in the case of goalkeeper control it will be done through AI. This means that, in multiplayer modes, you will be able to play with 3 more friends on the same team, with the fifth player being the AI-controlled goalkeeper.
Rush can be played in Club mode and Ultimate Team mode, so it could have quite a presence, unlike what happened with Volta, which did not take off too well. In the case of Ultimate Team, Rush points will be used to obtain weekly objectives, so they will be another way to get coins and points to improve your team.
Game rules
El pitch will be almost 60% smaller than the usual field, and the games will last 7 minutes without interruptions, the stopwatch only stopping when the ball is out of the field of play. There will be no ties, and if the end of time is tied, an extra time of 2:20 minutes will be played with a golden goal.
There will be no red cards, instead the blue cards, which eliminate the player for a period of 1 minute. During this time, the opposing team will enjoy numerical superiority, although the 60-second countdown will be reduced by 15 seconds each time the minority team receives a goal. More than two players may never be expelled; if there is a third expulsion, the team automatically loses the match.
Finally, due to the dimensions of the field, the offside has been adjusted so that it will only be whistled when the player breaks it in the third third of the field (the offensive third).
A way to have fun
Everything indicates that Rush is going to provide very good moments of fun, so it could become one of the revelations of FC 25. In addition, the narrator of this mode will be Alex Gutiérrez, a well-known LaLiga FC Pro caster.
