The intention is to launch it this year, although it talks about “just in time for the 2026 World Cup.” Taking into account that absolutely nothing has been known about the development of a football game by 2K, it would be quite surprising if the company launched a simulator on par with EA Sports FC 24 in less than 9 months.
The information contradicts quite a bit with the idea of launching this year and arriving just in time for the 2026 World Cup, since the world tournament would be held in the summer of 2026, and not this year or the next. It may be, in any case, that the game launched this year will cover the 24-25 season as always, and it will not be until the next one that the World Cup will be covered.
