Have passed twenty-three years since Final Fantasy VII was published, a game that for many was marked by its history and that, at that time, also left its mark for its cinematics. But time advances and so does technology, and the new opening cinematic of the remake that is released this year is brutal.
The opening cinematic of Final Fantasy VII and that of its remake
La Final Fantasy VII remake, the one that has been waiting for a few years now, is closer. On April 10 it will be officially launched and to whet your appetite Square Enix has published the opening cinematic of its long-awaited remake.
As you will be able to see below, the differences in terms of image quality differ wildly with the kinematics of the original version. Something logical, more than twenty years have passed and that in the world of technology is a lot. Hence the improvements in terms of computer generated graphics is so overwhelming.
Still, the graphics are not the only thing that changes. The soundtrack has also undergone a fine-tuning process to match what Final Fantasy fans have been waiting for. For the rest, if you watch the original opening video you will see that the base is maintained and shows us Midgar, the great city where the action takes place.
Of course, graphics and soundtrack will not be the only new thing that incorporates Final Fantasy VII in this remake. The Square Enix team has developed new stories that go deeper into the characters. These were not in the original version, but they are now and will help to better understand what happened and why.

Professor Hojo is the director of Shinra's Research & Development Division.
He won't hesitate to take a human life if it's for the sake of his experiments. Previously his work led to SOLDIER, where he performed special surgery to increase physical power in his test subjects. pic.twitter.com/lGIS6LjXpG

Final Fantasy VII Remake will arrive, as we have said, on day April 10. Square Enix initially scheduled its launch for the month of March, but they announced a small delay of one month in order to have enough time to outline the points still pending.
This is how they ensured, or so they hope, a rounder title that would convince those who have never played FFVII and, also, those who remember it as a great game and don't want to be disappointed, although we know that it will be complicated.
Regarding where it can be played, Final Fantasy VII Remake is released as exclusive title for Sony Playstation 4, although that exclusivity will end after a year as could be seen on the cover itself.
However, the exact plans of Square Enix and what other platforms it would intend to carry one of its great games are not known. Also for PC, Xbox, the next generation consoles that will arrive at the end of the year…? We will have to wait. So, for now, the only sure thing is that the cinematic is already available and if you're a fan of the saga, you're going to like it.
