A new game mode is about to arrive in the creative mode of Fortnite, since on January 20 the Pelé Cup will take place, a soccer tournament in which players must compete to win a gesture in tribute to the Brazilian star and even to be able to win a signed shirt.
Soccer comes to Fortnite
The king sport will take place on the island of Fornite. Well, to be exact, it will arrive in creative mode, since Epic Games has created an arena in which players must compete to win matches and be able to get hold of a new emote called Air Punch, a gesture that replicates the mythical celebration of Pelé raised his fist, which so identified the Brazilian star.
In addition, by participating, players will also be able to win a commemorative outfit made up of a kit called the “Finish Set”, and if they manage to rise to the top of the competition they will even be able to get a custom signed jersey.
A tournament with ranking and leagues
The matches will be made up of teams of 4 players and each game will have two rounds. The tournament will have a total of 3 leagues and each league will have 10 divisions. Depending on the score achieved, the player will go up or down the league between the following categories:
- Open League: Division I (0 – 249 hype points (“Hype”))
- Open League: Division II (250 – 499 Hype)
- Open League: Division III (500 – 999 Hype)
- Open League: Division IV (1,000 – 1,499 Hype)
- Contender League: Division I (1,500 – 2,499 Hype)

- Champion League: Division I (6,000 – 11,999 Hype)
- Champion League: Division II (12,000 – 15,999 Hype)

Anything goes to win, and for this you will have to use your pickaxe, power-ups, speed increases and many more elements that will allow you to overcome your opponents in order to win.
