Right on time, Fortnite Season 9 is here, bringing with it a host of changes to the world's most popular island. Among the highlights are new locations and neighborhoods created by the volcanic eruption , such as Neo Tilted and Mega Mall.

The new Battle Pass, which will still cost 950 V-Bucks, will automatically offer two new outfits called Sentinel and Rox (progressive), although if you choose to buy the Battle Pack you'll also get Bunker Jonesy, a rather peculiar bearded character. But the main attraction will undoubtedly be the playing field, where Neo Tilted now stands where Tilted Towers used to be.

This name finally solves the enigma that Epic had been leaving with droppers in recent days, since some images published by social networks showed the letters N, E and O respectively. Many bet on the word NEON, although it has finally been confirmed that it was NEO, the prefix that gives life to Neopicados, the new urban area of ​​the map with a more futuristic look than what we were used to seeing from Pisos Picados.
New areas like Banano and Chozita will also be noteworthy, points on the map that we can quickly reach thanks to Draft, a new wind transportation system that will connect a large part of the map with the help of some very striking wind tunnels. New to the battle pass are Fortybytes , a series of bonuses hidden around the map that will help unlock rewards as we discover the collection points.

the new costumes
Season 9 will include up to 7 new outfits . Three of them will be automatically obtained through the Battle Passes, as previously mentioned, while the rest will be unlocked as you level up. The Vendetta outfit is unlocked at character level 100. These are the names of the outfits shown in the image, from left to right:

New weapons
As a novelty, the combat shotgun has been included, a semi-automatic weapon that has a capacity of 10 cartridges, fires 9 pellets per shot with a basic damage of 73/77/81 depending on the variant (rare, epic and legendary). It is characterized by having low dispersion and by offering a fast rate of fire. If you shoot at the head, the shot multiplier will be 1,70x and it is capable of reloading 2 cartridges at a time. You can find it on the ground, in chests, supply drops and vending machines.
