This is what PlayStation has confirmed on its official German blog, where, while reviewing upcoming games, it revealed some details about GTA V.
GTA V in 4K and 60 FPS
It's the most desirable resolution with the ideal frame rate. It seems that strolling through the streets of Los Santos will now be more spectacular than ever, as PlayStation Germany has confirmed that the expanded and enhanced version of GTA V will arrive on PS5 with the option to play at maximum resolution and 60 frames per second . However, the text doesn't specify whether ray tracing effects can be maintained simultaneously, something we imagine will force a drop in the frame rate to 30 fps, similar to what happens with games like Ratchet & Clank: Separate Dimension.
In any case, it will be fantastic news for many users, since driving through Los Santos at that resolution and with that rate of images per second is the dream of many. And it remains to be seen exactly what improvements Rockstar will include in the game at a graphic level. Obviously we will not see extreme improvements like the ones that the modder community has applied in the last years in the PC version, but we hope that effects and new textures will be included that help improve the visual aspect of the game (the publication talks about a “bold graphic update").
