I have been able to test the Logitech Challenge, and I can say that having a racing seat at home is possible, since this model folds practically like a beach chair. It is light, relatively compact and very comfortable, making it the ideal solution for those who want and thought they couldn't have one.
The cockpit that looks like a beach chair

When you fold it, its mobile arm allows you to move into the seat without adopting strange postures; and once seated, you will have the steering wheel and pedal board perfectly positioned in front of you. He seat is made of breathable fabric, and its relative elasticity hugs your back, feeling covered, supported and perfectly placed in the seat.
To adjust the degree of inclination of the backrest we will use lateral gears with a fairly simple adjustment system that will allow us to choose between 6 different positions. This adjustment allows us to fold and unfold the chair in a matter of less than a minute.
When the seat does not have the steering wheel and pedals in place, it can be folded as far as possible, obtaining the smallest possible volume. In any case, once you have the steering wheel and pedal board in place, it is normal that you do not remove them due to the time required to perfectly position the cables, so folding the chair will take up a little more time. Of course, the total volume is nothing particularly alarming, and you will have everything neatly collected to unfold it again the next time you play.
Perfect for pilots without space
In my case I have been able to have the chair folded in a corner of the house to open it when playing. This is something unthinkable in fixed models, which require quite voluminous extra space, and which precisely do not fit at all in a typical decoration of a living room. These fixed cockpits are practically intended for configurations and setups in dedicated rooms, so this Logitech solution is perfect for those short on space.
The chair in question is quite comfortable, and the breathable fabric feels quite good after several hours of gaming. The opening system to enter the cabin is extremely comfortable, since it avoids having to jump over part of the structure and cables. Simply turn a piece to secure the structure and prevent it from opening due to sudden movements.
The Playseat Challenge X costs 299 euros, and although it is not a particularly economical peripheral, it is worth every euro it costs. Simulator fans will find in it the solution they were looking for, and they will finally be able to have a cockpit that can be stored next to the ironing board.
