Flight Simulator on Xbox

Microsoft Flight Simulator

In an interview with the guys from Asobo Studio conducted by the French media La Tribune , the creators of Microsoft Flight Simulator have commented many news regarding agreements with Microsoft and the future of the franchise. Among the questions, there was obviously the one related to Xbox, since much has been said about the arrival of the simulator on consoles.

Well, it seems that yes, that the project is still underway, and the game will have its console version next year, being destined for the new Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles, something that could make sense when we consider the demand of the game that we currently experience on PC.

The development work of the Xbox version will be carried out by the team itself, which has preferred to continue with the reins of the project to guarantee the same level of quality achieved with the PC version. That being the case, we can understand that the Xbox version makes us wait. Sure that it will be worth it. At least they've hinted that some things could be even better than on PC, so we'll see what they surprise us with.

Ready for virtual reality

Microsoft Flight Simulator

Luckily, something for which we will not have to wait so long is for the long-awaited virtual reality mode. Microsoft Flight Simulator will receive a beta in the form of a patch soon that will allow the use of virtual reality glasses, and it seems that the chosen date will be between October and November. The requirement will be a helmet Windows Mixed Reality, since those models will be the ones that are compatible at first.

Expanding the recreation of the world

After a first update expanding the details of the maps of Japan, the second country to receive a massive update of its orography will be the United States. These updates will be a series of almost quarterly patches that will continue to increase the level of refinement of the game in terms of graphics and representation of the real world. And of course, that will also consume the capacity of your hard drive, so be prepared.

More future surprises

Microsoft seems to be so happy with Asobo Studios, but for now the relationship will stay there. In an article originally published by XboxEra, it was pointed out that both companies had signed an agreement for an upcoming title, however, the news has been denied, since it was a bad translation.

On the other hand, the development studio has also signed an agreement with Focus Home Interactive, the company behind A Plague Tale: InnocenceSo we'll see if it's a sequel to the game or a different project.

A job well done in the end has its reward, and at Asobo Studio they will surely not be able to complain.
