Following the custom of the latest calls, Nintendo has announced just over 24 hours later the celebration of its next Nintendo Direct, a streaming broadcast where the brand will reveal the news about the upcoming launches that are planned on its personal calendar. But contrary to what you might think, the most anticipated announcement of the year will not have a place in this presentation.
The Nintendo Direct of E3 2024
Ok, E3 no longer exists, but you know perfectly well that was the time, so it is inevitable to continue making the reference. Nintendo's annual presentation has already been confirmed, and will be broadcast live tomorrow 18 June at 18:00 p.m. in Spain through the official Nintendo channel on YouTube.
Follow a new #NintendoDirect focused on games that will reach #NintendoSwitch in the 2nd half of 2024! No information about the successor to the Nintendo Switch will be disclosed.

The company already reiterated on numerous occasions that it was not going to comment on the future platform (they confirmed that there would be a new console, yes), so it was to be expected that nothing would be said about the supposed Switch 2. But the best thing is that , to clarify it again and so that there are no doubts, Nintendo has once again confirmed that “There will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during this presentation”. In case it wasn't clear yet.
With an approximate duration of 40 minutes, the livestream will cover the new releases coming, and there will most likely be last-minute surprises, especially now that we see the decline of the Switch. It remains to be seen if a great launch is responsible for closing the stage or, on the contrary, they close the generation with a good combo of launches, which is what will probably happen.
What do we expect?
On the one hand, there are the obvious launches, and that is, for example, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD y Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition They are just around the corner. We will surely see the latest details before the launch. A few months ago there were rumors about the development of a new 3D Mario game, so it could be time for its appearance. In any case, with the launch of Switch 2, it would be quite strange to launch a game as important as Mario, so perhaps it will remain on the shelf until further notice.
Surely there will be room for the occasional remastering, since Nintendo seems to have picked up pace in that regard, and the one that does seem to be there is Hollow Knight: Silksong, which missed the Summer Game Festival event, and now it only makes sense for it to appear at the Nintendo Direct.
