The document that he is sending to the volunteers asks for a video recording of at least 90 seconds in which he recounts the difficulties and problems that the Joy-Con malfunction has caused him, in order to counteract Nintendo's opinion that "it is not no problem" or "has not caused any problems for anyone".

How do you fix a malfunctioning Joy-Con?

Switch Joy-con Problems

If the Joy-Stick of your Joy-Con has stopped working correctly, or simply does not synchronize correctly with the console, have no doubt that your Joy-Con is affected. The problems are usually mainly two:

Joystick that moves by itself

The controller joystick generates involuntary movements even without touching it. It is especially evident in games with camera movement or character movements, since they move involuntarily without the need to touch the controller.

Solution: Replace the joystick with a new one. Its price is quite cheap, and with a bit of malaise (requires opening the remote) it can be changed without problems.

Joy-Con connection failure

Another problem is related to the synchronization and connection between the controller and the console. The Joy-Con does not link well and cannot be played in two player mode, since the controller does not respond correctly to the command of the individual joy-con. The problem is in an internal flex-type cable, which comes from the factory quite under pressure and ends up causing a communication failure.

Solution: Replace the control flex cable. It requires opening and changing it depending on the model (left joy-con or right joy-con). It is quite cheap.
