The well-known youtuber Moore's Law is Dead has received some information that claims to give details of the next generation of PS5. Rumored for several months, the For PS5 It seems to be already designed and with a fairly defined roadmap, and the information shared would be giving details of the technical improvements that it would offer in performance and rendering times compared to the current version of the Sony console.
A very Pro
Let's remember that the youtuber Moore's Law is Dead has quite important threads in the industry that allow him to obtain quite juicy details in terms of big leaks and future releases, so all this he comments about the supposed PS5 Pro is quite interesting. It is true that he has not been able to delve into some details so as not to end up revealing the identity of his leaker, but the information shared is quite complete.
On the one hand, it seems that the future PS5 Pro will offer Ray Tracing performance between three and four times higher than the current PS5, which will allow you to apply ray tracing with astonishing naturalness. This would be possible thanks to a new ray tracing architecture developed in the new model, which would respond internally to the name Trinity.
Existing games will need to receive an update patch to qualify for the new improvements, which among other things will achieve 45% faster graphical performance than the current PS5. This means that it will not raise the graphic level, but rather will offer better performance in terms of fluidity, maximum resolution and ray tracing effects, which will allow the console to remain in the same generation.
Super Spectral Resolution arrives
And the icing on the cake would come, of course, with a touch of artificial intelligence. Under the name of PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), the new console would include a machine learning architecture in charge of rescaling and applying antialiasing, which would allow reaching high resolutions such as 8K without losing image quality, as already happens with NVIDIA DLSS or AMD FSR2 technologies, although being noticeably superior.
In this case, Sony's technology would allow rescaling from 1080p to 4K in just 2 milliseconds, although the process could still be improved with more optimization, so the final result could be more surprising than it sounds.
Release date
What still remains an unknown is when we will see this new model on the market. For now there are not many clear details about it, so it is not known if it will arrive at the end of this year or will sneak in rather in 2025 to accompany the launch of GTA 6, a game that has all the earmarks of being the reference to take advantage of the performance of the new PS5 Pro.
