Resident Evil Village will have no loading times thanks to PlayStation 5

Those famous transitions in which the protagonist of Resident Evil opened a door will disappear forever. Said animation was nothing more than a resource to hide the loading times of the next room or level, and now, thanks to PlayStation 5, those doors will disappear forever.

From zombie to zombie without waiting

Resident Evil 8

Which Resident evil village this is going to be a true next-gen experience was something we already knew, however, it seems that there will be nothing like experiencing it first-hand. This has been revealed in an interview conducted by the Official PlayStation Magazine, where Pete Fabiano, producer of the game, has announced that players will be able to enjoy the game without loading times.

This is obviously due to the advantages of the PlayStation 5 SSD, which with its very high transfer rates will be able to load levels like never before. According to Fabiano, this will allow players to maintain the feeling of immersion.

sounds everywhere

Another novelty that the game will include with the help of the new Sony console will be the use of Tempest, the technology behind the 3D audio engine that will allow us to enjoy surround sound with which to feel that we have zombies in any direction.

This will be something especially striking and with which to take a leap in quality in the saga, since taking into account how dark those corridors tend to be where a zombie could surprise you unexpectedly, having sounds that come from anywhere will only put the most difficult (and shaky) things to the player.

Will there be differences with the Xbox Series X Resident Evil Village?

ps5 size

Both the PS5 and Series X versions will feature 4K dynamic resolution and ray-tracing effects, but we'll have to see to what extent the Xbox Series X SSD is able to match the performance they've prepared in PS5. Regarding the duration of the game, Fabiano has also confirmed that it will be the longest Resident Evil in the saga, being "much bigger" than Resident Evil 7.

The game will arrive on May 7th on PS5, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, Xbox One and PC, so it's less and less until we can discover what mysteries are hidden in that dark castle. And yes, we are completely sure that we are going to regret having said this.
