The Epic Games universe continues to receive new guests, and this time the crossover that the famous island will offer us is related to the mythical and incomparable fighting game from Capcom: Street Fighter. Through an official video, Epic Games has confirmed what the rumors anticipated: Ryu and Chun-Li are coming to Fortnite.
At the blow of Hadouken
With a nice video in which we can see how a Street Fighter arcade is hacked by Jonesy himself (the character appears out of nowhere in the middle of a fight between Ryu and Chun-Li), taking both fighters to the world of Fortnite through a portal called Zero point.
In fact, this portal seems to be present on the island, since in some areas of the map a temporary gap is appearing that reveals the well-known Street Fighter setting. For now, the official trailer has confirmed that both fighters will arrive on the island, but this will not happen until the early hours of February 21 (1:00 in Spain), at which time the characters will supposedly be available.
More video game characters
Although at the moment the exact reason for these new additions has not been confirmed, everything indicates that the arrival of Ryu and Chun-Li has to do with the Legends of Videogames series, a promotion of skins and cosmetics inspired by famous videogame characters that allows users to buy new skins that are quite flashy.
As happened with the skin of Kratos and that of the Master Chief, it is very likely that Ryu and Chun-Li also have a price, so if you want to play as these characters, you will have to go through the box to get the complete pack .
In the case of the Kratos lot, which included the character and all his accessories (shield, axe, Mimir and gesture), its official price was 3.300 paVos, and it was on sale during the first days for 2.200 paVos. These new Street Fighter ones may be similarly priced.
When they will be available?
In order to get the new Street Fighter skins in Fortnite, you will have to wait until Epic Games activates the options in the game. For that, we will only have to wait for the following time:
- 1:00 on February 21 in Spain
- 18:00 on February 20 in Mexico
- 21:00 p.m. on February 20 in Argentina
