The Witcher is coming to next-gen consoles, but not in the way that many would have wanted. As announced by CD Projekt Red, developer of the saga, what we will see will be an update with graphic and technical improvements to enjoy all the power of the new hardware.

The Witcher fans are in luck. It is true that we all would have wanted CD Projekt Red to announce a new installment, but that has not been the case. In any case, no one can deny that receiving improved version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt it's not exciting.
This new version will arrive in the form of an update for both PC users and all those future owners of a new PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X if they already have the version for PS4 and Xbox One. In the latter case, it is not clear what the process of obtaining the title will be like, but we are clear that it will not be necessary to pay again. Well, as its developers have commented, if you have a PC with the latest hardware or you plan to buy a PS5 or Xbox Series X, you will be able to enjoy a wide repertoire of Visual and technical improvements. This includes graphics that will take advantage of technologies such as Ray Tracing, textures with a higher level of detail and resolution, etc. And in the technical section, the changes will be more aimed at improving loading times so that the gaming experience is even more fluid.
All these improvements will be applied by CD Projekt Red both to the base game and to the two expansions that were released later: Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. And also to all that other minor additional content published.
