Ubisoft has decided to rename its subscription service U Play Plus y now renamed Ubisoft PlusBut that's not really important. The company also announced its commitment to streaming gameplay and integration with Google Stadia and Amazon services. A move that can be very interesting for each and every one of the three companies, although the main beneficiary will be the user. If you.
Hi Ubisoft Plus!

Up to now UPlay Plus has been the name of the Ubisoft subscription game service. A proposal that was launched for PC about a year and a half ago with the idea of offering a wide catalog of titles in exchange for a monthly payment.
The service costs 14,99 euros per month and provides the user with the ability enjoy more than a hundred company titles already published as well as those that will be published in the coming months. In this way, for example, as a subscriber to the service you will be able to play great Ubi titles and also those that will arrive such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs: Legion or Immortals Fenyx Rising.
Well, this service is renamed Ubisoft Plus and although it only involves a name change, it is interesting for the company because it will be much more recognizable than the previous one. Something important to compete against Xbox Game Pass and, above all, that those users who are less interested in video games find a brand they would bet on.
Of course, this was not all that the company had prepared. They also had the surprise of their arrival on streaming game services from Google and Amazon prepared.
Ubisoft partners with Google and Amazon

When it comes to making the leap into the world of streaming games, you have two options. Either you create your own platform, which entails a significant risk and development at a fairly complex technology level; Or you ally with someone who already knows about all this.
In the case of Ubisoft, they have opted for this second option and the decision is quite correct. We already knew about their arrival at Google Stadia, because they themselves had promised, but also doing it at Amazon Luna shows that they are going for it. That instead of fighting creating your own technology, an integration like this can be much more interesting.
Those who are already users of Google Stadia and Amazon Luna will be able to play the entire Ubisoft Plus catalog available. Being something also very interesting for these gaming platforms via streaming. Because as we have already commented on some occasion, in the end it is the games that make you opt for one option or another.
So, Ubisoft will try to be on the maximum number of platforms and thus attract both traditional PC users who want to play from other devices, as well as all those who have never had a computer and have always invested their leisure time in mobile games. .
Lastly, Ubisoft has promised that there will be cross-platform progression. This means that if you start playing on your PC and want to continue the game through Stadia on your smartphone, you can do it from the exact point where you left off.
When will I be able to play Ubisoft Plus on Stadia and Luna?

To enjoy Ubisoft Plus on both Google Stadia and Amazon Luna you will have to wait until the next day November 10th. Until then you can only access as before, through the PC.
It is also important that you know that as of that day, only those users who have been previously chosen by Amazon to test the service will be able to access Ubisoft Play from Amazon Luna. If this is your case, go ahead. And if it is not, then you will have to turn to Google Stadia.
Both platforms will allow access to Ubisoft Plus from its free options (with the limitations that it entails) and, yes, paying the monthly fee for the Ubi service. Once the beta phase is over, we don't know if we will have to pay for the premium plans of Stadia and Luna or not. But we will see those details.
For now, stick with the name change and Ubisoft's leap into the world of streaming gaming at the hands of Google and Amazon. Will it be the real competitor to xCloud and Xbox Game Pass?
