It's no secret that Fortnite is still the hottest game right now, boasting a whopping 125 million users worldwide. Its popularity is so immense that anything related to the game becomes news, such as… the appearance of a cartoon character within this universe created by Epic Games. The character from Wreck-It Ralph has made a surprise cameo that's already making the rounds online. We'll show it to you in the video.
The first player who seems to have encountered Ralph—or at least publicly reported it—is a streamer on Twitch , Mozzzyy . He was broadcasting a live game on the platform when his character suddenly appeared at the Risky Reels outdoor cinema, where Ralph waved on the screen for a few seconds before disappearing. You can see the exact moment below:
This appearance appears to be part of an agreement between Epic Games and Disney to promote the latter's new film, Ralph Breaks the Internet , which premiered just a few days ago in the US and will arrive in Spanish cinemas on December 5th. What remains unknown is whether the collaboration will extend further and whether it will be possible to play as Ralph as a playable character within Fortnite, similar to the limited-time playable Thanos, the ultimate villain from the Marvel universe.
It's also worth remembering, as a curiosity, that in the Ralph Breaks the Internet movie itself there are many references to our geek culture , including some nods to the Fortnite universe , which is the quintessential game on the internet at the moment.
This crossover had actually been rumored for a few days. The well-known unofficial account @FNBRLeaks , responsible for leaking practically everything that happens in the Fortnite world via Twitter, published a Wreck-It Ralph video file on November 21st . This file had been found within the game's promotions folder. It showed the character running in and waving in a clip identical to the one you saw in the Twitch video above.
And you, do you play Fortnite? If yes, do you like these kinds of star appearances?
