Xbox Series X | S and Game Pass boost Microsoft's revenue

A ecosystem the accounts come out. Yesterday the company shared the financial results of the last quarter and it seems that everything that has to do with gaming is going from strength to strength. And it works for two reasons: the new Xbox Series X y S series and subscription service Xbox Game Pass.

The best-selling Xbox of all time

We knew that the launch of the new consoles had been a success for Microsoft, but now Satia Nadella confirms and reconfirms that it has been the most successful launch of a new generation of consoles that the brand has had so far. A somewhat easy statement to fulfill if we take into account that for "next generation releases" we have only had two with Xbox 360 and Xbox One, the latter being quite disastrous due to the late Kinect.

But hey, the merit is there, and we are not going to be the ones to say that Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are not great consoles, because they are and they are showing it to all those who could get hold of a unit before everything the stock disappeared all over the world. And that's exactly what Nadella wanted to talk about too.

Xbox stock will remain stagnant until the end of the quarter

Xbox Series X Sales

There is no use having an amazing launch if there are no more consoles to sell. It is a real problem, and it is that there are no stores in the world that can currently offer a new Xbox to buy. For this reason, the CEO of Microsoft has also wanted to comment on the situation, and his words are not very encouraging. According to Nadella, the stock of the consoles will continue to be limited until the end of the quarter at least, so everything indicates that we will continue to have problems finding a console on the shelves until the month of April, we repeat, at least.

Xbox Game Pass continues to skyrocket

Xbox Game Pass

In another order of great news for Microsoft, the company has confirmed that it has a share of no less than 18 million Xbox Game Pass subscribers. This is a tremendous success for Microsoft's strategy, which with its consoles and its service intends to attract the attention of users with a combo to take into account.

At the moment the figure is far from the 100 million subscribers of Xbox Live, but taking into account that this service is required to play online (not free to play games as recently announced), the first steps of Xbox Game Pass do not seem to be going too badly. Does anyone doubt that this is the service of the future?
