Luxury drying without leaving home: Dyson, Panasonic and Dreame tested

  • Dyson Supersonic: professional power and precision heat control.
  • Panasonic EH-NA9N: nanoe technology that moisturizes and softens hair.
  • Dreame Hair Glory Mix: great performance and modern design at a very competitive price.
  • Conclusion: Three different approaches to drying, caring for, and beautifying hair.
Three hairdryers: Dyson, Dreame and Panasonic
I have been testing (and comparing) three of the following for several months. more modern and technological hair dryers that you can find on the market right now. They all promise, with varying degrees of enthusiasm, a professional finish without damaging your hair, record-breaking drying times, and a salon-worthy user experience. But is there really that much difference between them? This is my conclusion after a good amount of use.

Dyson Supersonic: power and iconic design

The Dyson Supersonic is already a classic and remains the benchmark in the world of premium hair dryers, which is no coincidence. From the very first use, you'll notice its power—thanks to the V9 digital motor that spins at a maximum of 110.000 rpm—and its ability to dry hair in record time without overheating it.

Dyson Supersonic

One of the features I like most is its precise temperature control . The device measures the air temperature more than 40 times per second to prevent heat damage, and it shows: hair is left shinier and smoother, even with daily use. The magnetic attachments are very convenient, and the ergonomic design makes it very easy to handle.

Dyson Supersonic

The best thing about it? Its modern design. The controlled power it offers. And the professional finish it achieves—even on difficult or frizzy hair (in fact, I've noticed better control in this regard with this dryer). The worst thing? Obviously, it's still the price ( €479 ), which remains quite high. Even so, I never tire of recommending it: it's possibly one of the best beauty investments you can make.

Panasonic EH-NA9N: Japanese technology for hair care

The Panasonic EH-NA9N is a more traditional and functional hairdryer, but this is by no means a bad thing. With its elegant and rather classic design, its main selling point is the so-called nanoe and mineral ion technology , which promises to hydrate the hair while drying it. At first, it might sound like marketing hype, but in practice, it's definitely noticeable: hair is less frizzy and softer, especially if you have dry hair, as it prevents dryness, or hair prone to frizz , as I mentioned is my case.

The theory behind this technology is that, unlike traditional negative ions, this nanoe function releases tiny, invisible particles charged with up to a thousand times more moisture than regular ions. Thanks to this, hair is deeply hydrated and remains much softer and healthier than with a traditional hairdryer.

It has a very stable airflow and the controls are simple and practical , offering different modes (like scalp care or skin care) that give it a multifunctional touch I wasn't expecting from this model. Perhaps what I like least, and what I consider the worst thing about this dryer, is that its noise is much more similar to that of traditional dryers and therefore more noticeable and annoying. But, of course, its price is more manageable: 199 euros , and it can be purchased in gray or champagne—as pictured.

Dreame Hair Glory Mix: Power and style at a reasonable price

The Dreame Hair Glory Mix is clear proof of how tech brands are revolutionizing the world of personal care. It happens to be the most affordable of the three dryers, but that doesn't make it any less capable. With a high-speed motor of 110.000 rpm (resulting in powerful airflow and very fast drying), the dryer boasts a design that inevitably reminds us of Dyson, featuring the same magnetic nozzle system, but weighing even less (336 grams), making it even more manageable.

Dreame Glory Mix

This Dreame dryer incorporates smart sensors that adjust the temperature to prevent heat damage. It's not very noisy (it also has a more modern and continuous sound, similar to the aforementioned Supersonic) and features elegant LEDs on the back that indicate which drying mode you're using—it offers four temperature settings and two airflow modes. The most special feature, however, is one of its accessories: it comes with an aromatic perfume nozzle or ring that emits a pleasant floral fragrance that will (lightly) linger in your hair.

Dreame Glory Mix

A modern, elegant and very attractive hairdryer in terms of finishes - even the plug cable has a rubberized wrap-around cord in the same color as the whole set - which also has a crazy price: 119 euros (an aromatic ring, which lasts about 8 hours of use, costs 1,99 euros).

Conclusion: Three different ways to care for your hair

Three hairdryers: Dyson, Dreame and Panasonic

After trying them, I would say that all three have their own audience:

  • Dyson Supersonic: ideal if you are looking for very professional results and don't mind investing in it.
  • Panasonic EH-NA9N: Perfect for those who prioritize hair health and shine but are on a tighter budget.
  • Dreame Hair Glory Mix: the best value for money, with cutting-edge technology and great performance.

There's no doubt that technology has finally arrived in the world of hair drying, and these three models clearly demonstrate this.
