El realme 6 pro It has just arrived on the European market. A phone that lands loaded with a set of features that allow it to compete at the highest level within its range. I have been testing it in the days prior to its launch and today I show you the main keys that you need to know so that you know it in depth.
The key points of the new realme 6 pro
This is one of the new members of the realme 6 family. A range that promises to become the company's new bestseller.
It presents a design very similar to that of the latest realme releases, such as the realme 6 itself or the realme X50 Pro. And this is the case for both good and bad. On the front we find a panel that does not have a notch or periscopic camera. In this case we have a hole in the screen that hides the double front camera of which I will tell you more details later.

In this 6,6″ FullHD+ panel that, despite the fact that it does not have a higher resolution such as 2K or 4K, it looks quite good and with very correct colors. And a large part of the responsibility for this is the calibration of the screen, which meets the DCI-P3 standard. In addition to having the technology OSIE, which enhances the colors, contrast, and clarity of images played on this panel.
Of course, despite the fact that the panel looks very good, something that I do not like is the shadow that is generated around the hole on the screen. This may not be dramatic for many, but you are going to allow me to become a perfectionist in this regard.

Turning now to another aspect of the design, the realme 6 Pro has a fingerprint reader integrated into the unlock button as the rest of the new realme 6 range does. A reader that works perfectly, without any problems and with very fast recognition. The same experience that carries over to facial recognition. Something that I already told you when I tried the X50 Pro and that I repeat again in this model. It may not be the most secure recognition on the market, but it works incredibly fast in almost any situation.
The rear is identical to the latest releases of the brand. In it we find an "S"-shaped finish that, depending on the inclination with which we look at it, will vary its appearance. A rather beautiful and careful design but, despite this, it has two negative aspects: the hump of its camera module, which makes the phone move when placed on any surface, and the glossy finish is a magnet for fingerprints. Although both problems can be solved by putting a cover on it like the one that the realme 6 Pro includes in its box when buying it.
The 6 cameras of the realme 6 Pro
And, speaking of this module, it is time to move on to the photographic section. This new member of the realme catalog incorporates a total of 6 cameras on your body:

- A double front lens: a angle sensor 16 mp with f/2.0 focal length and a ultra wide angle 8 mp with f/2.2 focal length and a viewing angle of 105º.
- An main lens 64 mp and f/1.8 (26 mm) focal length.
- Un wide angle 8 mp, f/2.3 focal length and a viewing aperture of 119º (15,7 mm).
- Un macro 2 mp and f/2.4 focal length, to bring them up to 4 centimeters closer to what we want to photograph.
- Un telephoto 12 mp, with f2.5 focal length and a 5x zoom, which reaches 20x with the hybrid zoom.
All these details, numbers and characteristics are very good, but how does it behave on a day-to-day basis? Well, although the photographic performance is difficult to assess due to the very special circumstances we are experiencing right now, the truth is that I really liked the result of these cameras.

When light conditions are good the pictures we can take with all the lenses are correct both in color representation and in the sharpness of the results. The macro may be the one that does not get to leave us with high-quality results, but it does its job. Although the sensors that have surprised me the most in this regard are the two main ones: both the one for the rear camera and the one for selfies. The sharpness, contrast, and colors are very good and many phones in this range would like to have similar results.

Especially in the case of the selfie camera, which normally tends to lose a lot of quality compared to the main one, but on this phone it behaves very well. Of course, the wide angle of the selfie camera I did not like so much, really. It contrasts too much and the loss of sharpness is noticeable considerably. So, if you can manage the selfie with the main one, you will have a higher quality capture.

Then, when the light conditions get worse, the quality of the results also goes down. It is true that the angle on the back holds up a bit, but you should not expect great photos with a night photo. Although, to solve this type of scenario a bit, I have really updated its night mode to Nightscape 3.0. It is true that they have improved a lot in long exposure shots and, using it, we can capture light where there is none. Something that you should keep in mind is that you will always need a surface or a tripod to support the phone so that the photos do not come out blurred.

The ins and outs of the realme 6 Pro
As for the experience using this smartphone on a day-to-day basis, the truth is that everything works perfectly. Inside it hides the Snapdragon 720G, becoming the first phone that includes this powerful processor that is accompanied by 8 GB of RAM. With this set of hardware, the phone behaves very well no matter what you throw at it. Whether you are going to watch series, or if you want to use it browsing the internet or viewing social networks. Even when we ask for maximum performance, the feeling is ultra fluid.

This sensation is produced, in addition to its components of the processor and RAM, thanks to the fact that the screen has a 90Hz refresh rate. Something that gives the sensation of floating through its menus, options and transitions.
Before moving on to the software section, I would like to tell you about two aspects that stand out a lot about this smartphone. On one side is the 30W fast charge with which the realme 6 Pro is compatible. In just 30 minutes we will have 60-70% of the 4300mAh What battery does this phone have? And, in an hour, we will be able to reach 100%. It is perhaps not the fastest charging on the market but, for my use, it seems to me that it is at an excellent level.

And, on the other hand, although it is something that many other smartphones have, this new member of the realme catalog has IP splash protection. So we gain extra peace of mind when using the smartphone.
Realme UI: yes to customization, no to pure Android
In this realme 6 Pro we find the manufacturer's customization layer, really UI, which runs over Android 10. There is little I can tell you about the software of this phone that I have not already told you.

realme cape include a good set of menus and settings which, for lovers of customization, will be the most appropriate option. But, despite the fact that everything works fine and without any fluidity problems, if you want an experience as close to pure Android, perhaps this should not be your choice. Of course, little by little the realme layer is improving with each update and I am sure that the day will come when they will refine the details that their users request.
Realme 6 Pro price and availability
Now that you know the keys to this smartphone, it's time to talk about when and for how much it will be available for purchase. The realme 6 Pro will go on sale today May 5th at a price of 329 €, and it will be available in a single model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
Seeing everything that this smartphone offers and for the price that will be available, it becomes a great bet to take into account if you are thinking of changing your phone. Realme continues to struggle to compete in one of the most complex ranges on the market, but with this realme 6 Pro, it has a great workhorse.
