Realme has a new offspring in the family and it is one of those teams that must be taken into account due to its low price. As you know, the brand has been gradually expanding its range of devices moving in very different price ranges, but in the case of the realm 7i It maintains the essence of "more for less" with a wealthy and above all very cheap phone. This is what you have to know about him after we have been testing him.
realme 7i, aiming at the entry range
The realme 7 family is bringing so much joy to the Asian company that it has not hesitated to continue expanding its variety with a new model. This is how this realme 7i was born, a kind of substitute for the really 7 (which we like so much) that tightens some of its qualities to better adjust the price.

That causes us to find good surprises -spoiler: eye to the battery-, but also perhaps with certain limitations, typical of a terminal input range, which you should take into account before betting or not on this new model.
What you should know about the smartphone
These are the impressions that the realme 7i has left us after spending a good time with it. If you were thinking about your purchase, keep in mind the following details.
Discreet screen, performance to match
You have to cut somewhere when you want to offer a decent phone at a crazy price and in this case the screen is one of the least attractive elements of the device. In the end, it is still a discrete 6,5-inch LCD panel (wide it is, of course) with a HD + resolution that reaches 1.600 x 720 pixels of resolution. Here you will undoubtedly find your greatest ballast, although at least the tactile response is good and the viewing angles are decent.

As for the general performance, it is very much in line with the house. realme is doing a good job in this regard and the realme 7i comes to confirm it once again. The team respond quickly and optimally, everything moves fluidly and even when playing (with that wide screen, you're probably thinking about it), the smartphone responds decently and without overheating. A very wealthy team to put little trouble in this regard -always taking into account its category, of course-, thanks to the thrust of its MediaTek Helio G85 processor and its 4 GB of RAM.
Correct photography, no more
They often ask me for recommendations for cheap phones with "a very good camera" and I always answer the same thing: "that unicorn doesn't exist." Let's see, don't get me wrong: in the input range we can find quite acceptable performance in photography, but it is still an aspect that is usually more discreet in low-cost terminals. And this realme 7i was not going to be an exception.
His c48 MP main camera It will give you satisfactory and correct results during the day (it has an HDR mode) and it even comes with a night mode that can save some other scenario (without miracles). The focus is also quite fast. As for the portrait mode, I liked it more than expected, making a good crop, sometimes a bit aggressive but in general also acceptable -same with its front camera for selfies.

The wide angle is the one that limps the most, with more loss of detail and definition even in situations with good light in which it should perform better. Its macro performance doesn't win me over either; Given the choice, I would have preferred a telephoto lens instead.
The best: battery of 10
With a battery module of no less than 6.000 mAh, little more could we expect a heart attack autonomy. And effectively it has been like that. The realme 7i gives you that pleasant feeling that you will never run out of battery, thanks to good management of its system and, of course, to the capacities in which we are moving.
You have to put a lot, a lot, effort and desire so that the phone does not reach you on the second day quite comfortably. In fact, with normal/moderate use of the smartphone you can sneak into the third day without having missed the plug. If you are looking above all for autonomy, here you have an option that will not disappoint you at all. Its fast charge, by the way, is 18W.
Simple design but with a special touch
Something that will catch your attention when holding the realme 7i for the first time will be that it is a relatively light phone (for its dimensions) and with a very discreet. Here we forget about metallized or glass, to make way for the usual plastic, which at first can make it less attractive. The way to compensate? With a truly original framework in the form of vertices that are noticeable even to the touch and that save the whole.
This makes it look a bit special compared to other completely "flat" backs, helping to have a little touch. differentiator to help you forget about finishing your entry-level materials.
It does not have NFC
This note is brief but tremendously important for many: this smartphone comes without NFC. There are more and more terminals that include it and it may be something that you take for granted in this smartphone, however, on this occasion, it has really decided dispense with of this module on your inexpensive kit. Keep that in mind.
The fingerprint sensor is on the back
This smartphone comes with a physical fingerprint sensor (no screen integration), located on the back. It is still a very traditional location, which works effectively and quickly - the same performance is offered by its facial recognition, which would be worth mentioning here.

What perhaps I would have liked is that there was something lower than the place it occupies in its rear area: the phone is considerably tall and the sensor is placed too high depending on which hands, in addition to being too close to the camera module, which can cause some accidental touch of the glass. Just a little more scrolled down would have been perfect.
the price is fantastic
Well, I've saved for last the most powerful reason, next to the battery, to consider this phone: its price. The realme 7i has an official cost of 159 Euros, although during its first 48 hours of sale it will be even cheaper, for only 149 euros.
And when does it go on sale? Well, on December 21 (therefore, that day and the 22 will be with the aforementioned discount). You can buy it in Victory Blue color (the protagonist of this review) or Winner Silver.
