You can take a look at that article to know all its details but, simply, we could say that Disney+ Star is a new section of this streaming service that will offer content categorized for adults.
Some of the best-known titles that we can see within Star are: Die Hard, Deadpool, Pretty Woman, Modern Family o Parent, among many others. Content that you probably do not want your children to see with complete freedom, since it is not about movies or series appropriate for their age.

To put some control in this new section, the platform has enabled a parental control system along with an option lock by pin for each user. Through an animation Stewie griffin They explain to us that, in this way, each of the people who use Disney + at home will be able to enjoy the appropriate content for their age without us having to worry about anything. So with that said, let's take a look at how these control systems are set up below.
How to activate parental controls and pin lock on Disney+ Star
When you log in to Disney+ for the first time after Star arrives in your country, you will see a preview screen to announce that it is available. Once in it, if you want access the complete Star catalog, you will only have to follow the following steps:
- On the welcome screen click on continue and then click on "access the complete catalogue".
- Now you will be asked to enter your user password (the one you use to access this service) to continue.
- Once this last step is completed, you will have access to the complete Star catalogue. Here you can also create a pin to control other users' access to your profile. This will be a simple 4 digit numeric code. Once established, click on "set pin".
- Entered the password, and as a last point, the service will give us the possibility of give full access to other users from our account. Keep in mind that any user you select from this window will have full access to Star's +18 content, although we can later modify this level from the Disney+ settings.
But, as we mentioned before, we will have the possibility of establishing a security level for the content that appears in certain users of our Disney+ account.
In this case, the parental control that the service offers us goes beyond a simple “all or nothing”. In detail, we can divide this limit into ages ranging from from less than 9 years up to 16 years of age or, in the case of full access, older than 18 yearss. Depending on the classification we choose, the series and movies that will be shown in these profiles regarding Star will vary. Without forgetting the accounts categorized as workshops, in which we will not see a trace of this new function and, even, of other types of content from the general Disney + catalog.
In the event that we do not establish any levels, Disney+ will take as standard for new profiles the content limit for 14 + years. But, if we want to customize this aspect to our liking (yes, we will have to do it in the desktop or mobile version), we will only have to follow the following steps:
- Access the main screen of the profile view.
- Select the option «Edit profiles». This will make you see each of the profiles created with a pencil on its right.
- Click on the profile in which you want to establish a new parental control or pin lock.
- Here you just have to access the corresponding option that you want to configure and place the relevant values.
That simple is set the new parental control and security under pin of profiles on Disney+. From now on, depending on the established age restrictions, the new content that comes to Star will appear in each of the avatars of our account in a different way. You can be completely calm that your child will not see any series or movies that are not appropriate for his age.
And, in the event that you want to modify any of the profile locks or passwords, you will only have to access the configuration of each one of them again to change it.
