LEGO has managed to expand its catalogue with a wide variety of products that go beyond its classic construction sets. Within this diversification, the line stands out Botanical, a series of artificial flower and plant sets that allow fans to recreate floral designs with LEGO bricks. This collection has become a popular choice for both gift giving and space decoration, as it combines the aesthetic appeal of a bouquet of flowers with the entertaining experience of building. In times like these, Valentine's Day!, become a highly sought-after and original option to have a detail that is far from the typical.
The sets in this Botanical line thus cover different types of flowers, from roses and orchids to sunflowers and more varied bouquets. Each set is made up of a certain number of pieces. which allow you to assemble flowers with a remarkable level of detail. In addition, many of them include adjustable stems and additional elements that provide a more realistic appearance, not to mention that they can also be combined, creating new bouquets to suit everyone's taste. Let's review all the proposals that this family offers us.
Bouquet of roses
One of the most striking sets within the collection is the Bouquet of roses, which allows you to recreate a dozen of these classic flowers. This set includes NOTE 822 with which the roses can be assembled in three different stages of bloom, giving it an additional touch of realism. In addition, it includes four sprigs of bridal veil that complement the design of the set. The bouquet of roses is one of the most elegant options within the Botanical line and can be used both as decoration in the home and as a special gift. Its assembly is quite an entertaining challenge and the final result offers a very attractive visual finish.
Individual roses, sunflowers, daffodils, cherry blossoms and lotus
For those who prefer simpler, but equally striking options, there is a set that includes two single roses, another with two sunflowers, a third with three lotus flowers, one with four daffodils and finally a kit with two cherry blossomsThese are affordable alternatives within the Botanical line (the price in all cases is 14,99 euros), with a careful design and adjustable stems that allow them to be used as a complement to other LEGO floral sets.
The mounted flowers reach a Approximate height between 26 and 32 centimeters, depending on the branch and type of flower.
Mini orchid
For those looking for more delicate floral designs, the set of mini orchid is an excellent alternative. It is a smaller option within the collection, but with a high level of detail. With NOTE 274, allows you to build both the orchid itself and its pot, making it a compact and elegant decorative figure. Its price is also quite affordable, which has made it very popular among LEGO fans, becoming one of the best-selling pieces within the artificial plants category.
Fantasy Flower Bouquet in Pink
If the idea is to have a more varied bouquet, the set of fantasy flowers in pink It is an excellent option. It is composed of NOTE 749 and allows you to build various flowers, including orchids, ranunculus, daisies, cornflowers, roses and a dahlia. This combination of species gives the bouquet a very vibrant and colorful look. Additionally, the flower stems are completely adjustable, allowing you to customize the arrangement of each one to better fit any space.
Bouquet of flowers
One of the first to be released in the collection. Despite having been in the catalogue for some time, it is still one of the most requested sets. It has NOTE 756, with which you can assemble roses, daisies and asters. Very colorful and cheerful, to show off for example as a centerpiece - just like the one writing these lines has it, by the way.
Wildflower Bouquet
This branch is made up of 8 varieties of wildflowers on adjustable stems. If you are a great flower lover, you will enjoy building the bouquets inspired by cornflowers, lavender, yellow poppies, green chervil, leather leaf ferns, gerberas, delphiniums and lupines. They are more striking and special than the conventional Bouquet of Flowers - which fits in a more classic environment in our opinion. As for size, and as a guide, the delphinium, with its straight stem, measures approximately 47 cm in height.
Floral arrangement
Is one of the latest additions to the family. The Floral Arrangement consists of NOTE 1.161, can stand up to 26cm tall and is packed with brightly coloured flowers including camellias, peonies, hydrangeas, bridal veil twigs, ranunculus, hummingbird flowers and lilies. This time it even comes with a brick-built chalice vase that can hold other LEGO flower sets – which you’ll have to buy separately, though. This is the most expensive set in the Botanicals family at the moment.
Lucky bamboo
This beautiful decorative plant is said to bring good fortune. We don't know if that's true, but what it will offer you is a good time of entertainment with its flowerpot with a base that imitates wood, pebbles and 3 green bamboo stems with leaves. The set is composed of NOTE 325 and it also has an attractive price that does not exceed 30 euros. Ideal for lovers of green. It measures about 29 cm in height.
Plum Blossom
Very much in line with the Lucky Bamboo, we have the Plum Blossom. It also consists of few pieces ("only" 327 blocks) and even comes with a pastel blue pot with a gold band and a faux wood base – which you also have to assemble, of course. A beautiful interpretation of the showy plum blossom in vivid red that looks great in any corner of the house.
Chrysanthemum
There is also room for chrysanthemums inside the individual pots. On this occasion we find vivid orange flowers in bud, opening and open, as well as a pastel green pot with a gold band and a base that imitates wood. In total there are NOTE 278 (between the pot and the base) to have a chrysanthemum at home that you will never have to water.
Bonsai
We recognize that this is another of our favorite sets for its originality. The LEGO Bonsai consists of NOTE 878 and the nice feature that you can assemble it and have it with just green leaves, or add pink cherry blossoms. These can also be placed in different places, so the customization is even greater. It measures 18 cm high, 21 cm long and 20 cm wide.
Succulent
As LEGO itself says, "succulents are a great way to have a little piece of nature in your home" and they are right. This set comes with 9 different succulents, each inspired by a real variety, of course, allowing you to have a nice group of small plants with different shapes and colors at home. It is perhaps one of the sets that I think is the most less balanced in relation to quantity/attractiveness-price, but if you are into more discreet compositions, possibly, this is your set - and, hey, if not, you can always wait for some offer to get it cheaper.
Poinsettia
We close the review of flowers from the Botanicals range with a rather special set -and I admit that I already have it in my wish list for the upcoming Christmas season. We are referring to the Poinsettia, an articulated LEGO plant that replicates the “Grande Italia” poinsettia in a wicker basket. The floral arrangement is made up of green leaves and 5 central groups of bright red leaves (bracts), making it an elegant decorative element ideal for putting in your home at Christmas.
As you see, the LEGO Botanical Collection offers an innovative alternative to traditional flower bouquets. Thanks to their detailed design and variety of options, these sets have gained popularity among those looking for an original gift or a different decorative piece. In addition, each set features a assembly level which is quite entertaining for LEGO lovers and craft lovers in general. The difficult thing, of course, is choosing just one.
