Yes, unfortunately TikTok has limited this function to a series of specific profiles. It is exactly for those of users who are over 16 years of age and who have a minimum of 5.000 followers. Something that, usually, is far from the average public that visits the social network on a daily basis.
Turn profile view history on or off
To enable this activity control you just have to access the privacy settings or do it from the profile views page. In these two ways, it doesn't matter which one you use, you can activate it or leave it as it is (this option is deactivated by default), depending on your interest in knowing this information.
To activate the function from the settings, you should:
- In the TikTok app, tap Profile in the bottom right corner.
- Now press the menu icon of three horizontal lines that you will see in the upper right corner.
- Click now on Settings and privacy.
- Tap on Privacy and then on Profile Views.
- Tap the toggle button next to Profile View History to turn the feature on or off.
To do the same from profile view history on the Profile Views page:
- In the TikTok app, click on the Inbox that you will see at the bottom.
- Click now on one of the notifications that inform you that another user has seen your profile.
- Once inside Profile Views, tap on the Settings icon that you will see in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Now tap on the toggle button that you will see next to Profile viewing history, to activate or deactivate the function.
What if you make your account private?
It is an alternative that we have available so as not to eat our heads too much, yes, which consists of limiting our activity and exposure. So how about setting your TikTok account to private?
